How to Edit, Reset Password, or Deactivate a User

Editing a User's Profile
- Go to Settings → Manage Users.
- Click the pencil (Edit) icon on the user's row.
- Update any fields: name, email, role, or location.
- Click Update User.
Resetting a User's Password (Admin Action)
- Open the user's Edit form.
- Enter a new password in the Password field (leave blank to keep the existing password unchanged).
- Click Update User.
- Communicate the new password to the user securely.
Deactivating a User (Preventing Login)
- Open the user's Edit form.
- Uncheck the Allow Login checkbox.
- Click Update User. The user can no longer log in, but their historical data is preserved.
⚠️ Warning:Deactivating a user is preferable to deleting them. Deleting a user that has created transactions may cause database integrity issues and can break historical records.
